today we made a terllis to help our emu beans grow up.

For Monday mashup I made sausage rolls  I made with Ava Kristina and Zaniya. how we made what’s cutting the pastry into hufe then we pit the mints in two bows we pit the chase and tomorrow’s source and bbq mix that together and then put it on top of the pastry and then you put the milk around the sides and then fold it and then you cut in a half and then you put milk on top of it and put it on the bacon shape and then you put it in the oven for 20 to 25 minutes.

Have you even made sausage rolls?

Today, in Inquiry, we did an experiment to model how the sun produces energy.

We put icing sugar in a crater of sand, as well as baking soda and alcohol. We lit it with fire and watched it.

It took a while for something to happen and for it to burn. The contents changed from white to black as they burned. Some black lumps started to bubble and grow.

That’s kind of like what the sun does.

I have been learning how  to ask for  something in te reo.

We went to Living Springs camp for 3 days and two nights. Some activities at camp were fun but my favorite was Rock climbing because it’s rock climbing. I love doing it, it  is like a fun activity and it’s like really fun to do . I can go high up and get down and then I can sit in trees and it’s really fun climbing. Have you ever done rock climbing ?

This term, we have been writing our mihis which go alongside our  visual mihis.

We learnt

1) Genetics is the instructions for us which we call genes.

2) Traits are hereditary from parents and grandparents.

3) DNA – it looks like an double “s”, I drew it by copying it.

4 )Hereditary is when genes are passed down from my family.

5) All living things have genes.

6) Medical conditions can be passed down.

Our challenge was to learn about genetics.  We watched videos and we created alien traits by coin tossing and trait was chosen from Alien Table, if you did not now.     I’m most proud of learning what genes we got from my parents.                                                                                                                             

We are learning how to write  sentences in the teo.
